Book signing will benefit LeRoy Butler Foundation

An upcoming book signing in Waupaca will benefit the LeRoy Butler Foundation.

Butler, who played for the Green Bay Packers and who invented the Lambeau Leap, is teaming up with Steve Rose to host a book signing for the release of Rose’s Pea Soup for the Packer Heart: A Tribute to the World’s Greatest Fans & Team. Rose also wrote Leap of Faith: God Must Be A Packer Fan.

Rose and Butler will attend a public book signing from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at the Capitol Centre, 725 Capitol Drive, Appleton, before the group heads to Waupaca for the benefit signing, scheduled from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at LeRoy Butler Ford, 1682 Royalton St.

Tickets for the Waupaca signing are available at Leroy Butler Ford or through www.peasouppackerbook.com. Tickets cost $20, are limited and include a copy of the book with Butler’s and Rose’s autograph.

Part of the proceeds from the event will go to the LeRoy Butler Foundation.

The book, which retails for $17.95, has 224 pages and 99 chapters consisting of stories from fans, players and the media. Fifteen people who have stories in the book will be at the Waupaca event. Snacks and refreshments will be available.
