The 42nd Scandinavia Corn Roast is slated for Aug. 6-8 in Ellison Memorial Park.
The weekend’s festivities include carnival rides and concessions by A&P Enterprise Shows, food and refreshments, entertainment, Saturday’s parade, ball games, farm and antique tractor pulls, and on Sunday, the corn roast. Sunday is the only day corn is served.
FOn riday night the Scandinavia Volunteer Fire Department holds their annual firefighter’s dance. The Scandinavia Viking Baseball Club holds a softball tournament Friday and Saturday, and hosts two BABA baseball games on Sunday.
On Saturday and Sunday visitors can tour the historic Knopf Cabin and Jole Barbershop museums on the grounds.
The A&P rides close at 6 p.m. Sunday. Some events may be postponed or canceled if inclement weather prevails.
The event is sponsored by the Scandinavia Booster Club. Their policy is, Not 21, no alcoholic beverages, no exceptions!
