CLINTONVILLE -a Three members of Clintonville Area Swim Team (CAST) participated in Wisconsin Swimming State Meets. In meets held from July 29 – Aug. 2, Gabby Goerlinger swam in the 2010 Wisconsin 13 & Over Wisconsin Long Course State Championships in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
On July 23-25, Allison and Emily Graper participated in the 2010 12 & Under Wisconsin Long Course State Championships in Brown Deer.
At the 13 and over meet, Gabby Goerlinger swam in three events for females ages 13 and 14. Goerlinger swam in the 200 Backstroke, 100 Breaststroke, and 100 Butterfly. Goerlinger achieved two personal best times, cutting over 9 seconds from her previous best times in both the 200 Back and the 100 Fly.
At the 12 and under meet, Emily Graper swam in 7 events for females ages 11 and 12. Allison Graper swam in 4 events for females age 10 and under. Emily swam in the 400 Freestyle, 200 Individual Medley, 400 Individual Medley, 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle, and 800 Freestyle. Emily swam her personal best in 4 events: the 200 Free, 200 IM, 400 Free, and 800 Free. Emily cut over 13 seconds off her previous best time in the 800 Free. Allison swam in the 50 Breaststroke, 100 Backstroke, 100 Breaststroke, and 200 Individual Medley. Allison achieved personal best times and cut significant time off her previous best times in all 4 events. She cut over 3 seconds off her 50 Breast, almost 5 seconds off her 200 IM, over 8 seconds off her 100 Back and nearly 16 seconds off her 100 Breast.
CAST has finished the spring/summer session and will be celebrating the end of another great season by spending a fun afternoon on August 21 at the Pollock Community Water Park in Oshkosh. CAST will be starting the Fall/Winter Session in early October. New swimmers are always welcome and a Free Try It Week will be held prior to the fall session. More information will be coming in September.
