Registrations are now being accepted for the Waupaca Parks and Recreation Department’s upcoming flag football program that begins in mid-September.
Forms are now available at the department office at 407 School St. The program is for boys and girls that live in the School District of Waupaca.
Players will be divided into Squirt (grades 2-4) and Junior (grades 5-6) leagues.
The first Squirt League practice will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the Waupaca Recreation Center. The first Junior League practice will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, also at the center.
Games will be played on the field between the Waupaca Learning Center and Waupaca Middle School beginning Monday, Sept. 13 (Squirt League) and Tuesday, Sept. 14 (Junior League).
The cost is $30 for residents of the city of Waupaca and towns of Waupaca, Farmington and Dayton; or $95 for the towns of Lind, Belmont and Lanark and other municipalities.
