Alfred G. Krause, Age 95, New London passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at St. Joseph Residence in NewLondon. Alfred was born on September 6, 1914, in Liberty Township (Outagamie County) son of the late George and Bertha (Raddatz) Krause. Baptized on November 1, 1914, at Emanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, New London. He was united in marriage on August 20, 1938, to Irma P. Paap. They celebrated 65 years of marriage in 2003. She preceded him in death on June 19, 2004. Alfred was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church all his life and served on numerous boards and committees throughout the years. He lived and farmed in the Town of Liberty his entire life. Alfred lived a life of public service including: Treasure, Town of Liberty for 50 years, Supervisor, Outagamie Cty. Board for 30 years, President, Ellington Mutual Ins. Company for many years, and New London Cooperative Board of Directors, for 25 years. Alfred is survived by his children, Roger (Mary) Krause, Appleton; Kenneth (Cheryl) Krause, New London; Dale (Marsha) Krause, New London and Cherie (Gregory) Michaelson, New London. Grandchildren: Shelley Krause, Deborah (Dale) Fischer, Steven (Kelly) Krause, Jennifer Krause, Brad Krause, Cindy (Matt) Grow, Chad (Erin) Krause, Shane (Nicole) Krause, Brett (Michelle) Krause; Leah (Sean) Michaelson-Link, Eric (Catie) Michaelson. Great grandchildren: Jaclyn (Wayne) Sleger, Ryan Johansen, Jennifer Johansen, Nathan Krause, Austin Krause, Megan Grow, Eli Krause, Claire Grow, Marlie Krause, Carsyn Krause, Sophia Krause, Maximus Kim Link. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Irma, brothers and sisters, Irma Krause, Roman Krause, Robert Krause, Edwin Krause, Arthur Krause, Adella (Irvin) House, Evelyn (John) Mason, Earl Krause. Funeral services for Alfred was held on Friday, August 27, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. William Heiges officiating. Burial will be in the Mosquito Hill Cemetery, Town of Liberty. Visitation was held on Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London from 4-7 p.m. and also on Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
