Tickets are now on sale for the kick-off event for the Waupaca Book Festival, the authors’ reception.
The Green Fountain Inn will host the dessert reception at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1. Tickets are $25 a person.
Guests will be able to chat with book festival authors, including Jacquelyn Mitchard, Holly Kennedy, Amy Krouse Rosenthal, Patrick Jones and Justin Isherwood.
The Green Fountain Inn is providing a dessert buffet that includes flourless chocolate cake and lemon tarts among the selections. Coffee and tea are included, along with a cash wine bar.
The cost of the ticket includes entry into a drawing for prizes.
This event kicks off the first Waupaca Book Festival. Authors from across the U.S. will convene in Waupaca on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 1-2, to speak, sign books and meet with readers. In addition, there will be reading-related activities, vendors and classes.
Admission to the general book festival is free.
