The 2010 Wisconsin State Championship Demolition Derby will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Waupaca County Fairgrounds.
Lucky O’Hara Thrill Shows will feature five classes of small, medium and large cars, and small and large trucks. Prize money and trophies will be awarded in each class.
Admission for the derby is $6 for ages 10 and older, with 9 and under free. Food and refreshments will be available on the grounds.
The Weyauwega Fire Department is sponsoring the event, with proceeds to be used to purchase firefighting and rescue equipment.
The derby will be preceded by a Classic and Muscle Car Show on the grounds.
Admission to the car show is free and will be located inside the west fairgrounds gate near the commercial building. The show begins at 10 a.m. and concludes with the presentation of trophies at 2:30 p.m. Gates open at 8 a.m.
