Two of the three Iola youth football teams picked up wins Saturday in Rosholt.
The Orange Junior Pee-Wee team defeated Rosholt Black 7-0, while Junior Pee-Wee Black handed Rosholt Gold a 28-0 defeat. The Gold Pee-Wee fell to Rosholt Gold 38-0 and the Green Pee-Wee team had a bye.
Friday is Family Fun Night during Iola-Scandinavia’s home football game against Wittenberg-Birnamwood. Teams will scrimmage on Thunderbird Field in Scandinavia at halftime. Cheerleaders will cheer during part of the football game and other activities will include face-painting and games. Kickoff for the high school game is set for 7 p.m.
Youth football action Saturday, Sept. 18, at Thunderbird Field include JPW Black vs. Plainfield at 10 a.m., PW Gold vs. Plainfield at 11:30 a.m., PW Green vs. Rosholt Gold at 1 p.m. and JPW Orange vs. Wautoma at 2:30 p.m.
The winner of the raffle for Packers tickets will be announced at the last game.
