Jones, Sarah Rebecca

Sarah Rebecca Jones, age 86, of St. Joseph Residence in New London, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Appleton Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Sarah was born Nov. 5, 1923 in Sugar Bush, daughter of the late William and Pearl (Jepson) Gough. Sarah married Russell D. Jones on April 29, 1943. He preceded her in death in 2000. Survivors include: Alvin Jones (special friend Betty Tesch), New London; Betty Jones, New London; Carolyn Colson, Milwaukee; Alice (Fred) Dziedzic, Franklin; Michael Jones, New London; Donna Schuelke, New London; David (Sue) Jones, New London; Sandy Jones, New London; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Charles, Albert and Tom Gough, 2 sisters, Evelyn Guyette and Margaret Blank. The funeral service for Sarah was held on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Residence Chapel in New London with Fr. David Lewis officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in the Town of Lebanon. Friends called directly at the chapel on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
