The Clintonvlle/Marion Crop Walk has received an autographed Green Bay Packer Players football, which will be given away at the conclusion of the CROP Walk. To be eligible for the drawing, participants must walk in the CROP Walk and have a monetary donation. The drawing will take place after all walkers return, and participants need not be present to win.
There have also been coupons donated by Dairy Queen, McDonald’s, Custard from Culver’s Bottled water from Econo Foods, Cheese plates from Dupont Cheese Factory and snacks will be provided by the host Church to be served in their Fellowship hall.
There will be three resting points on the walk: 1. the Clintonville Ambulance garage, where Ambulance personnel will be taking blood pressure reading for those walkers interested; 2. A&W, where walkers will receive refreshments; and 3. Green Tree Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, where waters will be handed out.
Supplemental funds are being provided by N. E. Waupaca County Chapter # 30071 of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
The Clintonville/Marion Community Crop Walk will be held Sept. 26 at Christus Lutheran Church, 120 N. Main St. Registration will begin at 1 p.m. with walking to start at 1:30. Participants can walk one, two or six miles.
This year, a golden walking shoe trophy was made by Chuck Manske, and the traveling trophy will be awarded to the church that has the most participants and donations. Youth groups with the most participants and donations will receive a free pizza party on a date of their choosing.
