Bell, Claire B.

Claire B. Bell, Age 81, passed away September 17, 2010. She was born on November 1, 1928, in Milford, MA, to George & Edith Bullard. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, George Jr. and Malcolm and 2 sisters, Shirley and Carol. She is survived by her sisters, Muriel and Ruth, and her brother, Louie. Claire joined the Navy in 1950 and met many wonderful friends. In 1951, she married Fredrick Harold Bell and had 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Daughter, Carol, son, Patrick & his wife, Alison, Parker & Kazlyn and daughters, Kalah & Ketan. Daughter, Sandy & husband, Danny, son, Kenny & his wife, Kimberly, daughter, Kaylee & her husband, Jon, and son, Allen & daughters, Leali & Kami. Son, Fred and his wife, Mary, son, Joseph & his wife, Krissi, Elizabeth & Landon, son, Anthony & his wife, Tasha. Daughter, Judy & husband, Tim, daughter, Morgan, and many nieces & nephews. She often told people that her children were one of her greatest accomplishments in her lifetime, and how proud she was of her family. Claire traveled the world as a Navy wife, had a career in the nursing profession, served on the School Board and was part of the Lions Club organization. While she lived in New Port Richey, FL., she spent her time volunteering for the local food pantry and Habitat for Humanity. She moved to Manawa, WI to join her daughter, Judy & son-in-law, Tim at the Lindsay House Bed & Breakfast. Claire helped in many ways at the Bed & Breakfast, as well as volunteering at the Senior Center and the Food Pantry. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, fast wit and kind heart by all who knew her. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2010, from 3 – 5 p.m. at Lindsay House Bed & Breakfast (539 Depot St.) Manawa.
