Community Hospice fundraiser planned

‘Light Up the Night for Hospice’ is slated for Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the Waupaca Ale House.

Hosted by the Community Hospice Foundation, the event opens at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Dinner will be followed by a brief program that will include comments from ThedaCare At Home and the Community Hospice Foundation as well as a testimonial from Waupaca resident Susan Schultz.

“Our family feels strongly that hospice provides quality care and services for not only the patient, but for the caregiver and family,” said Schultz, whose husband received hospice care from the Waupaca ThedaCare At Home team.

The event will also feature an assortment of silent auction items, raffles and a wine pull. This year’s raffle items include a 42-inch plasma screen TV and a piece of jewelry donated by Fletcher’s Jewelry of Waupaca.

All proceeds will support hospice care in the Waupaca area. Last year’s event netted over $15,000.

Tickets to the event are $50 per person. Reservations are required by Oct. 4 by calling the Community Hospice Foundation at 920-738-6503.
