Manawa Homecoming set for Oct. 1

Homecoming will celebrate the week of Sept. 27-Oct. 1 at Little Wolf High/Middle School.

The parade will begin at about 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, at the high school, weaving through town and ending at Triangle Park. The Homecoming football game is at 7 p.m. Friday night versus Iola-Scandinavia. The dance is immediately following the game at the high school commons. The grand march will be at about 10:30 p.m., with the dance ending at midnight.

Homecoming Week activities include a home volleyball game Tuesday Sept. 28.

The Wednesday Night Games will begin at 6 p.m., Sept. 29, at Lindsay Park. Events will include powderpuff football, men’s volleyball and possibly a pie eating contest.

Dress up days are: Monday – Twin Day, Tuesday – Reverse Gender Day, Wednesday – Class Color Day, Thursday – Stoplight Day.

The 2010 Homecoming court includes: Freshmen – Lexie Sell and Garrett Griffin; sophomores – Paige Schernecker and Adam Strebe; juniors – Krista Braun and Ian Van Rossum; seniors -Lukiesha Benhamadi and Cody Schoneck; Alycia Christensen and Justin Wegener; Kayla Johnson and Austin Mann; Ashley Remington and David Sell; Nyckol Stilen and Makayla Johnson; Ali Dean and Adam Strebe; Mary Kay Heinz and Jestin Heimbruch.
