City receives $100,000 grant

The city of Clintonville has announced that it received approval from the USDA for a $100,000 grant and $488,000 low interest loan (4 percent) to remodel the WE Energies building, across from City Hall, into a Police Station.

The closing on the building that is being donated from WE Energies to the City is anticipated to be in the latter part of October. Mayor Judith I. Magee signed paperwork on Monday afternoon and the Common Council will again be discussing the building project at its next meeting on October 12.

“I am pleased the City was successful in obtaining the funding as our need for space continues to grow,” commented City Administrator Lisa Kuss.
