Oppor, Anita E.

Anita E. Oppor, passed away at her home in Ogde-nsburg, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, September 30, 2010, at the age of 88. She was born on August 16, 1922, in Weyauwega, daughter of the late George and Ulahbelle (Rohrbacher) Long. Anita has been a member of the Waupaca Lioness Club, the New London GFWC, and the Waupaca Country Club. She loved Drawing, Rosemaling, flower gardening, dancing, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Weyauwega. Anita worked as a waitress and then at the Benson Corp for 31 years, retiring in 1987. She is survived by her husband, Elmer; 3 sons: Irving (Marilyn) Miller, Gary (Luetta) Miller and Robert (Beth) Miller; 2 daughters: Patricia (Dennis) Daniels and Candyce (Fred) Severson; grandchildren: Deana Anderson, Diana (Claude) Jarvis, Terry Miller, Brad (Sue) Miller, Kevin (Sara) Miller, Lisa (Doug) Behn, Tracy Haight, Robin (Brian) Bork, Steven (Vivian) Rosenau, Ricky Rosenau, Jeremiah Dallman and Rochelle Miller; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters: Alice Hinds and Helen Miller. Sister-in law, Polly Long. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 husbands: Ervin Miller, Eugene Schaffsma and Tony Borowski; 2 brothers: Oscar Long and Lloyd Long; 3 sisters: Myrtle Laux, Evelyn Otto and Vivian Oppor. The funeral service for Anita was held on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Sherwood McKay Jr. officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. Friends called directly at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m until the time of the service.
