Proposed improvements to State Highway 49 in the town of Scandinavia will be presented from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 21, at the Iola-Scandinavia High School in Iola.
There will be an informal open house with no formal presentations.
Representatives from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will be available to discuss the proposed improvements and address any questions.
The project is scheduled to begin in 2012. Improvements include the replacement of the bridge over the south branch of the Little Wolf River, 1.25 miles south of the village of Scandinavia.
During construction, WisDOT plans to detour traffic via State Highway 22/54, State 22 and State Highway 161. Local access will be maintained.
