Westfahl, Lerie G.

Lerie Eve G. Westfahl, age 81, of the Township of Pella, Shawano County, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at the Shawano Medical Center. Lerie Eve was born on April 11, 1929, in the Township of Deer Creek, Outagamie County, the daughter of the late Arthur and Viola (Russell) Lohff. Her family later moved to the Township of Pella with Lerie Eve attending school in Caroline. On February 24, 1945, she married James F. Westfahl in Caroline, WI. The couple first farmed in the Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County. Then in 1960, moved to a farm in the Township of Pella. In 2001 they moved to Clintonville. Mr. Westfahl preceded his wife in death on March 3, 2002. Lerie Eve later moved back to the Township of Pella where she has lived since. She was a member of the Christ Congregational Church, U.C.C., Clintonville. Her hobbies included gardening, reading and fancy work which included crocheting, making afghans and embroidery. Her daughters: Sharon (Edmund) Beil, Shawano, Eileen (Fred) Tesch, Appleton. Her son: Stanley (Kathryn) Westfahl, Clintonville. Her grandchildren: Matthew (Amy) Tesch, Appleton, Tony (Sandra) Tesch, Kiel, Katie Westfahl, Clintonville, Brian Westfahl, Clintonville & Bradley Westfahl, DePere. Her great-grandchildren: Tyler, Courtney, Ryan, Logan and Cooper Tesch. Her Brothers: LeRoy (Fernanda) Lohff, Greenville, Leslie Lohff, Neenah. Her sisters-in-law: Inez Lohff, Shawano, Violet Lohff, Clintonville. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James, a sister, Linda Lohff, and 2 brothers, Levi and Lyle Lohff. Funeral services were held 11 A.M. Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Christ Congregational Church, U.C.C., Clintonville with the Rev. Jill Meyer officiating. Interment was in the Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends called at the church on Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. A memorial fund will be established at a later date.
