Lubinski, Donald P.

Donald P. Lubinski, age 82, of Waupaca, WI, died in the arms of his family on Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. Don was born in Seymour on January 15, 1928, the son of the late Frank and Irene (Burm-eister) Lubinski. On May 27, 1953, Don married Sally Caten-camp in Marion. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a Corporal during World War II. He was particularly proud that he got to serve at the Pentagon and had the opportunity to go to Iceland. Don worked for many years as an accountant at Neuville Motors in Waupaca. During his life you would never find Don with a hammer and nails. He would have a pen and calculator, for he had a great love for numbers. His stubbornness, strength and his love for his family carried him many more years than he expected to be on this earth. His family is thankful that he is now at peace. He is survived by his wife: Sally Lubinski, Waupaca; his children: Mary Schmick, Waupaca; David (Natalie) Lubinski, Weyauwega; Robert Lubinski, Waupaca; Tom (Audrey) Lubinski, Waupaca; Jeff (Rhonda) Lubinski, Waupaca; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and his sisters: Doris Kroner, Shawano and Dorothy (Mike) Sprangers, Lakewood. Don was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Justin and two sisters, Fran and Verna. The Military Funeral Service will be held at Holly Funeral Home at 11 AM on Thursday, November 4, 2010 with Father Paul Vanden Hogen, officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King, Wisconsin. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10 – 11 AM at the Funeral Home.
