Tyrrell, Mercelese

Mercelese “Tommy” M. Tyrrell, age 90, of New London, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at the New London Family Medical Center. She was born on August 17, 1920, in Wausau, daughter of the late Clyde and Bessie (Law) Lawrence. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Tyrrell on October 26, 1946 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bear Creek. He preceded her in death in 1977. Mercelese worked at Simmons in New London for 25 years, retiring in 1977. She is survived by 3 daughters: Marion (Glenn) Riehl, Shiocton; Sue Ellen (Larry) Joos, Caroline; Linda Patzlaff, Oshkosh; grandchildren: Ben Joos, Jason Patzlaff and his partner John Becker, Gordon (Carla) Riehl, Tim (Kim) Riehl; great-grandchildren: Alycia Riehl, Jacob Riehl, Trelee Riehl and Katelyn Riehl; nephew: Daryl Bucholtz; niece: Vivian Falk; also cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Yale, a sister, Laverne and a son-in-law, David Patzlaff. The funeral service for Mercelese was held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. Lucretia Fehrmann officiating. Burial was in Most Precious Blood Cemetery, New London. Friends called directly at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
