Theft

?Oct. 31 – A gray Chevy 1500 pickup truck was reported stolen from a driveway on the 100 block of Frontage Road, Iola.

?Oct. 30 – A Farmall 1086 tractor was reported stolen from the E2500 block of Wesley Road, Iola.

?Oct. 29 – A 1999 tan Ford Escort was reported stolen from the 600 block of North Main Street, Scandinavia.

?Oct. 26 – Coyle Tire, North Pearl Street, New London, reported that four rims were stolen from a display in front of the business.

?Oct. 26 – a crossbow worth an estimated $350 was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 100 block of High Street, Clintonville.

Burglary

?Oct. 30 – An attempted break-in was reported at a home on the 400 block of Ann Street, Weyauwega.

?Oct. 27 – A burglary was reported at a home on the 200 block of Division Street, Waupaca.

Fraud

?Oct. 30 – An 85-year-old Waupaca woman reported receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be with Medicare and asking for her bank account information.

?Oct. 29 – A New London man reported that seven fraudulent checks totaling $20,000 were cashed on his bank account.

Traffic

?Oct. 29 – One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash shortly before 3:30 p.m. in the town of Lebanon.

Ruth Smith, 90, New London, was southbound on U.S. Highway 45 when she began to make a left turn into a driveway. Heather Opperman, 38, Marion, was northbound on U.S. 45 and drove off the road and into a ditch to avoid hitting Smith. Opperman required emergency medical transport for treatment of her injuries.
