Hospice raises funds

The Community Hospice Foundation’s fifth annual fundraiser netted more than $11,000 at its Oct. 12 event.

The gifts from Light Up the Night for Hospice will be used to support hospice care in the Waupaca area.

Tom Johnson served as master of ceremonies for the evening. Susan Schultz shared some of her family’s experiences during the care of her late husband, Gordon.

During the event, held at the Waupaca Ale House, guests participated in a key raffle for a chance to open a box that held a necklace donated by Fletcher’s Jewelry and took part in various silent auctions and raffles.

The event was supported financially by the following lead sponsors: Scott and Lou Andersen, Farmers State Bank of Waupaca, First National Bank, Neuville Motors, Archie and Margaret Overby, Riverside Health Foundation, Sara Lee Foods, Don and Faye Sorenson, ThedaCare At Home, ThedaCare Physicians-Waupaca, and ThyssenKrupp Waupaca.
