Colton Gorges was our all-around champ the week of Nov. 2. He had the only 25-straight and a 95×100 total. Nobody else even came close.
Glen Casey brought in the rack of a beautiful 14-point buck he harvested. Some thought it was only an 11-pointer. However, Linda Krueger’s ring hung on three of them, so I called it 14.
Garrett Gretzinger shot a very unusual bull elk in Colorado. It has an extremely heavy rack with seven points on one side and eight on the other. It must weigh 50 pounds! His hunting party ran into several snowstorms while they were in the mountains.
John Filtz came in with a crockpot of pheasant booyah for us. It was kind of a rare treat.
He had a good hunt in South Dakota.
Nic Casey stopped in while he was home and shot a few rounds. He is an instructor for the U.S. Army at an ordinance base in Huntsville, Ala.
