Speedskaters from throughout the Midwest will be in Waupaca for the Waupaca Speed Skating Club’s annual Waupaca Short Track Open.
The meet will begin at 9 a.m. at the Waupaca Expo Center and will include racers from Novice to Elite. Admission is free.
Club members will compete with some of the Midwest’s most talented skaters on a 111.12-meter track in races from one-half lap to almost a mile.
Divisions include Teeny Tot (ages 4 and under), Tiny Tot (5-6), Pee-Wee (7-8), Pony (9-10), Midget (11-12), Juvenile (13-14), Junior (15-16), Intermediate (17-18), Senior (19-29), Master (30 and up), Master (50 and up) and Special Needs (any age).
Concessions will be available and there will also be a 50/50 raffle.
