Raisler, Fay

Fay June Raisler, age 74, Township of Bear Creek, Waupaca County. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and dear friend was welcomed into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at New London Family Medical Center. Fay was the youngest child of William and Hilda (Verg) Brennenstuhl, born on June 4, 1936 in the Township of Little Wolf, Waupaca County, WI. Fay grew up in the Manawa area, graduating from Little Wolf High School in 1954. She studied at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN for two years and then worked in Appleton until she met a farmer named Kenneth Raisler from Bear Creek who she married on December 12, 1959 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Symco. We were blessed to have been able to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary last year. Fay was a faithful and active member at Trinity Lutheran Church in the township of Bear Creek. She taught Sunday School, was in the choir and was a member of the ladies aid and LWML. For years, Fay was actively involved in the Union Thresheree in Symco. A plaque with her name on it still adorns the food stand where she worked countless hours! Fay also was an avid bowler and participated in several leagues and bowled at the state tournament. She was a general leader for Hillside 4-H club for many years and was always very patient, especially with her own children when they waited until the car ride to the fair to finish their projects! She also clerked several years at the Waupaca County fair. Fay’s love for her family was endless. When Alzheimer’s robbed her of the memories and her ability to share and speak her love, she would smile and her love would shine to all around her.
