Coats for children in need are being collected by St. Martin Lutheran Church. Gently used or new coats can be brought to the church or church office, located on the corner of N. Clinton Ave. and Eighth Street. The coats will be distributed by the Goodfellows on Dec. 16.
The St. Martin Evangelism Board is organizing the coat drive. Board Chair Mary Kirchner asks that the coats be clean and in good condition. “New coats are also welcome,” Kirchner said. People from the area who are not members of St. Martin are invited to join in the effort to keep children warm this winter.
Tom Lederer, president of the Clintonville Goodfellows welcomed this addition to the Goodfellows holiday program. The deadline for coat donation is Dec. 12.
