Thomas R. Lewis, 37, Fremont, was charged Nov. 24 with delivery of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Also facing a drug-related felony charge from the same investigation is Bryan K. Wardell, 44, Appleton.
On Sept. 15, a police informant went to Lewis’ home, which was at the Alfred Street trailer park in Weyauwega at the time, and reportedly purchased about a half-ounce of cocaine for $600 from Lewis and Wardell. The informant was wearing a transmitter at the time and drug enforcement agents were listening to the conversation.
On Nov. 3, the agents and Outagamie County sheriff’s deputies pulled Lewis’ pickup truck over on College Avenue near U.S. Highway 41. Lewis and Wardell were taken into custody.
Police reported finding cocaine in Lewis’ pocket. During questioning, Wardell reportedly told investigators where they could find cocaine in Lewis’ trailer.
Officers executed a search warrant that day and found 35 grams of cocaine under a step to the shower and 8 grams of marijuana behind the wall, according to the criminal complaint.
