The Clintonville girls varsity basketball team earned a 66-51 victory over the Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers on Thursday, Dec. 2.
The Trucks jumped out to a 12-8 lead after one quarter and outscored the Chargers 17-15 in the second quarter to lead 29-23 at halftime.
The Truckers kept the momentum in the third quarter, as both teams scored 15 points and Clintonville maintained a six-point lead. In the fourth quarter, the Trucks cruised to a 22-15 point advantage to secure the 66-51 victory.
Nichole Paisar led the Lady Truckers with 21 points, while Nikki Kautz added 20 and Erin Peeters netted 16. Stacy Reinke chipped in seven and Steph Klegin scored two. Paisar and Reinke each had one 3-point basket, while Kautz nailed four from beyond the arc.
The lady Truckers will face Freedom at home on Friday, Dec. 10. Tip-off is set for 7:15 p.m.
