Lakeshore Auto, Inc. changed ownership Friday, Nov. 26.
According to information released by the Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce Monday, Dec. 6, Terry Lorge and John Lohrentz offered to sell their shares in Lakeshore Auto, Inc. to Mark Kraueger and Ed Jensen.
Lorge and Lohrentz had been in partnership for 19 years. Jensen continues as Service Manager and will become the sole owner of the repair center located at 175 Eighth Street. Mark Kraeger will continue to operate the used vehicle dealership at 177 S. Main as sole owner.
The four partners of Lakeshore Auto, Inc. purchased the former Jorgenson Oil Company on Dec. 3, 1991 from their employer and continued to prove quality service and repairs to customers in the Clintonville, Marion and Bear Creek area. The business expanded to selling quality used vehicles in the late 1990s and in December of 2004 opened a second location at 117 S. Main to allow for expansion of the vehicle sales part of the business.
The service center at 175 Eighth Street will become Ed’s Auto Repair, Inc., 715-823-6535, and the used vehicle dealership will continue with the name of Lakeshore Auto Sales, LLC., 715-823-8000.
