A sign-up day for the Iola Winter Sports Club’s Youth Ski Program will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at the club.
“The lessons involve a lot of fun games and activities,” organizer Jenny Vater said. “We also offer introductory ski jumping lessons for those who are looking for more adventure. This program runs from the time we have snow until early March.”
The program, for kids 10 and under, will be held Saturdays at the club.
Participants can also sign up any time during the season, according to Vater.
“This is fun for the whole family,” she said. “All you need to bring is the desire to learn and have fun. The cost is $85 for a family membership, $15 for the first child and $5 per child after that. This includes trail fees, equipment, snacks and hot chocolate.”
IWSC is located five miles north of Iola on State Highway 49 and two miles west on County Trunk MM.
