Winter Whirl Event Sponsors Sought

The Clintonville Park and Recreation Department is once again coordinating the local Winter Whirl Festival event scheduled for the weekend of Jan. 28-30, 2011. Local groups or individuals interested in taking part in Winter Whirl by sponsoring or conducting an event are encouraged to contact the department at 823-7660. There is no cost to be included in the lineup of Winter Whirl activities; however, a voluntary donation is requested to help cover the cost of advertising the event. Many of the popular events from previous years are already scheduled to return, including the Tummy Warmer Chili and Chicken Soup Cookoff, inflatable fun for kids, art print raffle, pancake/porkie/scrambled egg breakfast, vendor and craft faire, homemade pie and ice cream social, ice skating races, snowmobile drags, used book sale, Pre-School Fun Day and Chamber of Commerce Brew Ha. A number of other events will be added to the lineup over the next several weeks. Volunteers are also being sought to help with some of the events.
