CWEC spreads Christmas cheer with toys
Christmas was made a little brighter for more than 600 kids through Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative’s (CWEC) Toys for Tots program.
Each year the co-op partners with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and area businesses to help put smiles on area children’s faces on Christmas.
“It’s a daunting task indeed and one we certainly couldn’t do without the help of friends,” said CWEC’s Mark Forseth. “We would like to extend appreciation to Premier Community Bank and Silver Lake Lanes for serving as collection sites, Sharon Peterson, the Leo’s, the Iola-Scandinavia High School Student Council, the employees at Grey Hill, the Lions, the Krause Foundation, Kathy Rocco, Wendy Williams, the County Post West and, most importantly, we appreciate all who donated money and toys.”
