Hensel, Connie K.

Connie K. Hensel, age 70, New London, died on Sunday, December 26, 2010, following a lingering illness. Connie was born on July 10, 1940, daughter of the late Herman and Helena (Schmidt) Brennenstuhl. She was united in marriage to Harlan Hensel on March 28, 1964. He preceded her in death on August 9, 2009. Connie lived in the New London area all her life. She was employed at the First State Bank until she retired to raise her family and help her husband run the family farm. Connie is survived by a daughter, Sue (Alan) Gorges, New London; son, Dave (Renee) Hensel, New London; five grandchildren; a sister, Darla (Bob) Poppy, New London. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Connie were held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Burial was in the Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation was held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
