Niemuth, Elda

Elda Niemuth, age 94, 210 W. Garfield Ave, Camelot Apts, Marion, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville. The former Elda Grace Margaret Brockhaus was born April 24, 1916 in the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County, and was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Begrow) Brockhaus. She was a life long resident of the Marion area, and was united in marriage to Victor C. Niemuth on October 28, 1933. The couple farmed for 41 years, retiring in 1974. Elda was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Town of Dupont, where she was active in St. Paul Ladies Aid, and other church activities. She enjoyed gardening, embroidering, baking, cooking, snow- mobile riding, and fishing. Survivors include five daughters, Joyce Wichman, Appleton, June (Dale) Kluth, Clintonville, Karen (Stanley) Riska, Appleton, Sandra (William) Springstroh, Bonduel, and Pat (James E.) Krueger, Marion. There are 24 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren, and one son-in-law, Gary (spcl. friend, Joan) Mortensen, and a brother Arnold (Ruby) Arndt, Tigerton. Preceded in death by her husband Victor, August 7, 1998, four daughters, Lois Mortensen, Doris Brenenstuhl, Sally Niemuth, and an infant daughter, a son, Larry Niemuth, a great-grandson, Lucas Nienhaus, two sons-in-law, Donald Brenenstuhl and Earl Wichman, one sister, Deloris Fenske, two brothers, Henry and Robert Arndt, and one brother-in-law, Chester Fenske. Funeral services were held Monday, December 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Town of Dupont, with Rev. Janice Kuder officiating. Burial was in the Roseland Cemetery, Marion.
