Charles “Chuck” Buelow,age 86, New London, died on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, following a brief illness. Chuck was born on December 1, 1924, in New London, son of the late Ralph and Genevieve (Suprise) Buelow. He served his country in the US Air Force. He was united in marriage to Donna Meyers on October 26, 1957. Chuck was employed at the US Post Office for about 35 years until his retirement. He was a member Emanuel Lutheran Church, and the American Legion Norris Spencer Post, New London. Chuck was a avid outdoorsman and enjoyed playing golf.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; two sons, Michael Buelow, Oregon and Mark (Jackie) Buelow, Palm City, FL; and their daughter, Alexandria; a sister,Marlene Jorgenson, Weyauwega. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survived him. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William, a sister, Joyce, and a nephew, Bill.
Funeral services for Chuck were held on Saturday, January 1, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. William Heiges officiating. Burial will be in the Northport Ostrander Cemetery. Military Rites will be held. Visitation was held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
