Clintonville gymnasts improving scores

The Trucker gymnastics team took on Kaukauna on Tuesday, Jan. 4, coming away with a total team score of 95.55 – two points higher than their previous top finish.

In the vault event, Clintonville’s Jorja Westphal finished with a score of 7, as did Tisha Kenfield. Brianne Mueller scored 7.45, as did Rachel Wisneski.

On vault, Westphal scored 2.675, while Liz Aceto tallied a 3.9, Mueller scored a 5.1, Kenfield recorded a 4, and Wisneski scored a 6.15.

Aceto scored a 5.3 on beam, and Wisneski scored a 5.95. Kenfield earned a 6.15 while Mueller posted a 6.1 score.

In the floor exercise, Mueller scored a 4.3, while Aceto posted a 2.9. Kenfield earned a 6.4 while Wisneski and Westphal each scored 6.65.

Wisneski took third place in the all-around competition, scoring a 26.2.

“We are excited to see the improvement of the team. We increased our team score by two points. Most of that came from uneven bars. Rachel Wisneski added two long kips to her routine that increased her score almost a point,” said Coach Sue Kenfield. “The girls all-around scored increased .675 for Brianne Mueller, .825 for Tisha Kenfield, and 1.1 for Rachel Wisneski. The JV had only beam routines last meet and now added floor as well. All four beam girls increased their beam score from the first time.”
