NL boys unable to stop Seymour

The Bulldog boys fell in a 28-52 setback to Bay Conference favorite Seymour Thursday, Jan.6.

The game may have appeared to be a close contest as it has been in the past couple seasons with the two squads as New London jumped to a early 8-4 lead in the first quarter. However Seymour was able to jump over the Bulldog lead to a 20-11 lead by halftime.

The Senior Thunder duo of Cal Skogman and Phil Romback are averaging around 40 points a game combined.

The Bulldogs could not stop the two as Romback exploded for 20 and Skogman for 18 points respectfully. The duo was prominent in Seymour’s 22 point third quarter, outscoring the Bulldogs 32-17 in the second half.

Ethan Steingraber and Jason Wenzel each had five points for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs were in action at Denmark Tuesday and will host West De Pere this Thursday. The boys will host Oconto Falls next Tuesday, Jan. 18. The Bulldogs are even at 5-5 and 2-4 in the Bay.
