Lady Trucks stop Thunder in overtime

The Lady Truckers outscored the Thunder 10-3 in overtime to earn a 49-42 win over Seymour on Monday, Jan. 10.

Clintonville jumped out to a 13-7 lead after one quarter, but only managed to score one point in the second quarter. The Thunder led the Trucks 16-14 at the half.

In the third quarter, Seymour started to pull away, outscoring Clintonville 18-13 for a 34-27 lead heading into the final frame.

The Trucks allowed just three points while scoring 10 to tie the game at 39 all.

In overtime, Clintonville took charge, outscoring Seymour 10-3 to capture a thrilling 49-42 victory.

Nichole Paisar led the Lady Truckers with 23 points, while Nikki Kautz added 13. Erin Richter scored five and Erin Peeters and Markiesa Westphal each had four.

Clintonville overcame 21 turnovers while forcing 13 steals. The team shot 66 percent on free-throws.

The Lady Truckers will face Ripon in Clintonville on Friday, Jan. 21, at 7:15 p.m.
