The Manawa Wolves Wrestling team hosted eight teams for their 2011 invitational.
The Athens Bluejays dominated the tournament with a first place finish and 245 team points. The Omro Foxes came in second with 176 points. Green Bay Preble and East Reserves finished third with 147 points.
Three Manawa Wrestlers placed and earned team points in their respective weight classes.
Garret Griffin placed fourth in the 130 pound weight class and earned 9 team points. Griffin defeated Kewaunee’s Jon Pilgrim 12-10 in the quarter final.
Casey Johnson placed fourth in the 160 pound division and earned 10 team points. Johnson won by major decision 7-15 over Jesse Leuthoudom of Green Bay Preble in the quarterfinal.
Raythan Mann placed fifth and earned 10 team points after pinning Jared Plautz of Wittenberg-Birnamwood in the fifth place match.
