Shiocton held the Iola-Scandinavia girls’ basketball team scoreless Friday, Jan. 21, and handed the Thunderbirds a 36-21 Central Wisconsin 8 Conference loss.
The host Chiefs took an 11-0 lead into the second quarter and led 16-5 at halftime and 22-9 after three quarters.
Morgan Oppor led the T-Birds with seven points and seven rebounds, while Sarah Brumer chipped in with three assists.
The T-Birds will play at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at Manawa before traveling to Rosholt Tuesday, Feb. 1, for a 7:30 p.m. nonconference matchup with the Hornets.
