The Waupaca High School dance team returned home from the Wisconsin Association of Cheer/Pom Coaches Association’s state dance competition in La Crosse with a pair of top-four finishes.
The squad placed third in the Division 2 Jazz competition behind Prescott and Green Bay Notre Dame and fourth in Division 3 Pom behind Notre Dame, St. Francis and Onalaska.
The La Crosse Center hosted the competition Saturday, Feb. 5.
Amy Marcom coaches the team, which consists of seniors Breanna Schulist and Shellady Udoni; juniors Mackenzie Loken, Kira Minehart, Cassidy Neuville, Celina Parra, Karissa Smith and Tate Walkush; sophomores Haley Johnson, Emma Kelley, Becca Reeves and Kika Udoni; and freshmen Courtney Bloom and Zoe Minehart.
