I-S Student Council’s Super Bowl challenge

The Iola-Scandinavia Student Council challenged Rochester Junior/Senior High, from Rochester, Penn., to a Super Bowl wager and penny war challenge in honor of the Packers and the Steelers facing off in the Super Bowl.

During the week of Jan. 31 through Feb. 4, each school’s student councils will collect pennies. The school with the greatest ending total by 3 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, Feb. 4, will win.

All collected money will be jointly donated to a charity chosen by the winning team.

Along with the collected money, the losing student council will send some genuine state product to the other student council to enjoy.

Depending up on the winner of the big game, the following will also occur. If the Packers win, the Rochester Student Councils will dress in Packers clothes/colors and pose for a picture, which will be sent to be displayed for all at Iola-Scandinavia High School.

If the Steelers win, the I-S High School Student Councils will dress in Steelers clothes/colors and pose for a picture, which will be sent to be displayed for all at Rochester Junior/Senior High School.
