New London man charged with burglary

Tyler T. Young, 21, New London, was charged Jan. 27 with burglary and theft.

According to the criminal complaint, New London Police Sgt. Todd Sarazin saw a speeding motorcycle on Mill Street shortly after midnight Saturday, Jan. 1, and attempted to make a traffic stop. The bike reportedly continued until it crashed near the intersection of U.S. Highway 45 and State Highway 54. The operator fled the scene, but he was later identified as Young and arrested.

The motorcycle’s owner said the motorcycle had been in his garage and that he had not given Young permission to take it.

In Outagamie County, where the crash occurred, Young was also charged with taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, fleeing an officer, possession of narcotics and three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.
