Spring Gymnastics Scheduled

Registration for the Park and Recreation Department’s spring gymnastics program begins on Friday February 11th at City Hall, 50 10th Street.

City Hall hours are 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. The size of the program again this year will be limited so early registration is encouraged.

This program is for area youth in grades regular 5 year old kindergarten through 8th, and will be held at Longfellow School Gymnasium on eight consecutive Saturdays starting March 12th and ending April 30th. Beginning, advanced beginning, intermediate and advanced level classes are being offered. These are basic level skill type of classes.

Due to the nature of the program individual specialized skill development will be at a minimum. Persons interested in a more intensive program should pursue opportunities that are available in the Green Bay and Fox Valley areas.

he department is once again pleased to be able to partner with the coaches and the members of the Clintonville High School gymnastics team to offer this program to the oommunity. The class schedule is as follows: 8:30-9:30 Beginners Beginners 9:35-10:35 Beginners Advanced Beginners 10:40-11:40 Beginners Advanced Beginners 12:10-1:10 Intermediates Advanced Beginners 1:15-2:15 Advanced Intermediates No registrations will be accepted without the payment of the required program user fee of $12 for city residents and $17 for non-residents.

Those persons wanting to register by mail should include the following information along with the required user fee and a self-addressed stamped envelope for a reply confirmation – name, address, phone number, school grade and first and second choice of class time. Requests should be mailed to: City Hall, Attn: Gymnastics Registration, 50 10th Street, Clintonville, Wi. 54929.

Beginners are those unable to do front and back rolls and cartwheels, or those students in the program for the first time. Generally those students who take part in the department’s summer 4/5 year old program, eligible for the spring program, are expected to enroll in the beginners level. Those students who have been in the department’s previous spring and/or summer programs can check at City Hall at the time of registration to determine their class placement as determined by the department’s gymnastic program instsructors/leaders.
