Donald “Don” R. Schoelkopf, age 62, of Clintonville, passed away on Saturday, February 19,2011 at the Appleton Medical Center. Don was born on August 6, 1948 in New London the son of the late Robert and Laura (Prill) Schoelkopf. In 1966 he graduated from Clintonville High School. Months after graduation, Don enlisted in the U.S. Air force, serving until 1970 and then returning to Clintonville. On June 8, 1974 he was united in marriage to Connie Gensler at Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville. The couple has lived in Clintonville all of their married life. Don worked for 33 years as a jet mechanic for Jet Air Co., Clintonville and Air Wisconsin, Appleton until retirement because of his health. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 664 of Clintonville and a member of Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville where he had served as usher for many years. His hobbies included golf, bowling, softball and watching sports.

His grandchildren: Ariel Schoelkopf, Logan and Megan Hartwig. His step sister: Leta Verbeten, Menasha. His step brother: Albert Schoelkopf, Ohio.
Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 step sisters, Beatrice Giebiesch and Evelyn Boisvert. Funeral services were held 11 A.M. Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville with the Rev. Brian Crocker and Intern Brian Nehring officiating. Spring interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends called at the Church on Wednesday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Military Honors will be conducted at the Church by the American Legion Post #63 and the V.F.W. Post #664 of Clintonville. An online guest book may be signed at www.eberhardtstevenson.com
