Frederick C Ammeter, Of Waupaca, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Bethany Home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Ripon on November 15, 1935 to the late John and Evelyn (Cleland) Ammeter. On October 11, 1958 he married Yvonne Miller. Fred was a veteran, serving in the Army. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for 28 years for the City of Waupaca. Fred was a member of First Assembly of God Church and had been a greeter and Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed snow plowing, mowing the grass and gardening. Fred was a friendly person who knew everyone. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his wife: Yvonne; children: Jeffery Christian Ammeter; and Dennis (Mary) Ammeter both of Waupaca; Tammy (Keith) Phagan of Round Lake Beach, IL; Shelli (Robert) Willer of Whitehouse, TN; brothers: John (special friend: Sheila) Ammeter of Omro; Donnie (Judy) Ammeter of Green Bay, grandchildren: Tamara, Joy, Patrick, Timothey, Johnathan,Melodee, Jenna, Jonathan James “J.J.”, foster children, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Allen and a sister, Martha Page. the Funeral Service was on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Waupaca, with Rev. Bob Bohn officiating. The visitation was held on Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home and again on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Spencer Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
