Koski, Marianne

Marianne “Molly” Koski, 82, of Clintonville, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011, at Shawano Medical Center. The former Marianne Laux, was born on April 9, 1929, in Clintonville to Charles J. and Mary L. (McCarthy) Laux. She graduated from Clintonville High School and was united in marriage on June 27, 1953, to Kalvin F. Koski at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. In 1959, she moved to Medford, where she worked in the office for 5 years with the “Star News”. In 1975, Molly moved to the Shawano area and was employed in the accounting department at Alpha Insurance of Shawano for 16 years. After retirement in 1994, she returned to Clintonville. Molly was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and served as church organist. She enjoyed being an accompanist to numerous high school students for solo ensemble recitals and concerts. Molly especially loved reading, playing bridge, rooting for the Packers, and spending time with family. Survivors include two children, Steven Koski of Milwaukee and Rika Virgo of San Francisco, CA. There is one grandson, Ian Koski of Honolulu, Hawaii, one sister, Margaret “Maggie” (Donald) Lapp, of Clintonville, many other relatives and friends. Molly is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Ann Koski, and a brother, Dr. Charles Laux. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at 11:00 AM at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. Fr. John “Jack” Mullarkey, officiated and burial followed in the parish cemetery. Visitation was held on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of mass at the church.
