Manawa kept the Iola-Scandinavia baseball team out of the win column by handing the Thunderbirds a 4-3 defeat Monday, April 18, at Taylor Field.
The T-Birds also dropped a doubleheader Friday, April 15, in Bonduel and fell to Stevens Point Pacelli Thursday, April 14.

IOLA – Manawa committed four errors, but hung on for the Central Wisconsin 8 Conference win.
Brady Huettner and Zach Gauerke each had two of the T-Birds’ six hits, while Dave Sell, Austen Peterson and Dan Roenz each had two of Manawa’s eight hits.
D.J. Loken took the loss for the T-Birds, while Peterson picked up the win.
Bonduel 4-9, I-S 2-2
BONDUEL – Wyatt Reinke’s two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning lifted the Bears to the win in the first game. Dylan Olson took the loss for I-S. He gave up six hits and four runs and struck out six batters in over seven innings.
Taylor Kelley scattered three hits for Bonduel to get the win in the second game. Connor Lodewegen gave up six runs, six walks and four hits and struck out three in 3 1/3 innings while taking the loss.
Pacelli 10, I-S 0
PLOVER – The Cardinals scored three runs in the first, one in the second and six in the third and took advantage of seven T-Bird errors.
Gauerke took the loss for the T-Birds.
