Mauritta Ovedia Pezewski, age 86, of Iola, died Monday, May 9th, 2011 at Appleton Medical Center.
Mauritta was born in the Town of Iola, Waupaca County, Wisconsin on November 13, 1924, the daughter of the late Oliver and Mabel Aletta (Reierson) Mork. Mauritta married Albert Mortensen and he preceded her in death in 1962. She married Franklin Nelson and he preceded her in death in 1972. She later married Raymond Pezewski on June 24, 1972 in Iola. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1983. Mauritta was a baby-sitter for many children in the Iola area. She enjoyed gardening, playing games including bingo, scrabble and pool. Many years ago, Mauritta worked at the Iola Locker plant and Bob’s Market. She was a hardworking wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by

Brother: Lyle (Nellie) Mork of Iola. Mauritta is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren and 10 Step Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Brothers: Harris, Elroy & Earl Mork; Sisters: Dorothy Ambacher, Ovedia Mork, Vivian “Mickey” Krueger. Grandchildren: Susan & Rick Ehrenberg, Great Grandchildren: Sheenan & Palladin Smith and Son in law: Chuck Mumbrue. Funeral Service will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Iola on Friday, May 13th 2011 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Dennis Olson officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12th from 4-7 PM at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola and on Friday at the church 1 hour prior to the funeral service.
