Robert C. Brooks, age 84, of Winchester, died on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Omro Care Center. He was born on December 12, 1926, in the Town of Franzen, Wisconsin, the son of the late Charles and Myrtle (Matson) Brooks. Robert served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He later was employed at Kimberly Clark before retiring in 1985. Robert enjoyed traveling and golfing and he actually shot a hole in one on Hole 8, at Weymont Run Golf Course. Robert is survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and John, and three sisters, Anna Mae, Mary and Lila. Funeral services, followed by full military rites, were held on Friday, May 13, 2011, at 3:00P.M., at United Methodist Church, W304 County Rd. D, Borth. Rev. George Groves officiated. Burial was held in Evergreen Rest Cemetary, in the Town of Elderon. Visitation was held on Friday at the church from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for United Methodist Church of Borth.
