Billie Young, of Desert Hot Springs, CA, passed away peacefully on May 4th, 2011, at the home of her daughter, in Bodega, CA, after a brief struggle with cancer. Billie was born in Manawa, WI, to Garland (Mike) and Laura (Lolly) Myrick, on June 11th, 1936. She married Ronald Paul Burns on July 4th, 1954. He preceded her in death in 1974. She married George Young on April 15th, 1989. He preceded her in death in 2010. She is survived by her children; Rolie (Marg) Burns, Waupaca, WI: Randy Burns, Waupaca, WI: Robin (Mary) Burns, Waupaca, WI: and Rebel (John) Marsi, Bodega, CA. Grandchildren; Josh, Eric, and Amber Burns; Amy Gust, Jeremiah Burns; Angela Schneider, James, Patricia, and Raymie Burns; Shannon, Jesica, and Jennifer Marsi; and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother and sisters, Mollie (Ev) Becker, Kingman, AZ; Sandy (John) Haynes, Lake Havasu City, AZ; and Tom (Carol) Myrick, San Tee, CA. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, son Raymie Burns, and her sister Judy Wiese. Billie will be greatly missed by her family and many special friends. She touched the lives of many people, and always had a positive outlook on life. A celebration of Billie’s life will be held at later date.
